November Insights from the Sprout Recruitment Team
The year might be winding down, but the job market? Not so much.
At Sprout, we’re in daily conversations with hiring managers, business owners, and candidates across the real estate, legal, office support, and supply chain sectors. And let us tell you, there are some strong trends emerging as we head into the final weeks of 2025.
Here’s a quick roundup of what we’re hearing on the ground right now:
🔍 1. Candidates Are Open, but Selective: Yes, people are looking. But they’re not jumping for just any opportunity. Candidates want more than a pay rise, they’re after stability, better leadership, flexibility, and long-term growth. What this means for employers: If you’re hiring, now is the time to refine your EVP (Employer Value Proposition). Candidates are looking closely at team culture, leadership style, and how much support they’ll get in the role.
🧠 2. Self-Starters Are Still in High Demand: Employers want people who can hit the ground running, especially in real estate sales and property management. There’s less hand-holding and more value being placed on resilience, initiative, and problem-solving. What this means for candidates: Showcase your wins. Bring stories of when you took charge, solved an issue, or went above your KPIs. Interviews are less about your resume, more about your mindset.
💬 3. Admin & Support Roles Are Getting More Strategic: We’re seeing a shift in how businesses view support roles. Whether it’s a legal secretary, office coordinator, or sales associate, employers are seeking candidates who can own their space, not just “do the job.” What this means for job seekers: If you’re in an admin role, don’t downplay your impact. Talk about the systems you improved, the time you saved, or the stress you took off your team’s plate.
🏡 4. Property Management Roles Are Heating Up: Burnout and team changes have led to a spike in demand for experienced property managers. Offices are chasing the right fit, and willing to offer strong incentives to get them. Our advice to PMs: If you’ve been feeling “pot bound” in your current role, now’s the time to look around. You might be surprised at how in-demand your experience is.
📅 5. End-of-Year Hires Are Strategic Ones: Contrary to the “wait until January” mindset, many businesses are hiring now to hit the ground running in the new year. They want staff onboard, trained, and settled by the time 2026 rolls in. What this means for everyone: If you’re hiring, don’t wait. The best candidates are open right now. If you’re job hunting, lean in. The doors are open—and the best opportunities may come before Christmas.
